THE STORY

Wedding at the Premonstratensian Abbey – Pont-à-Mousson

Exceptional place | Timeless elegance | Floral poetry and literary scenography

It was in the majestic setting of the Prémontrés Abbey, an 18th-century architectural gem, that this unforgettable chapter of modern love was written. Nestled between a main courtyard, vaulted galleries, and French-style gardens, the Abbey offered a historic setting that was both solemn and vibrant with gentleness.

The scenography of this wedding combined the delicacy of literary arts and the power of plants:

Antique books, true treasures of the past, dotted the tables and reception areas. Each handwritten seating chart seemed to have come straight from a romantic tome.
Moss, twigs, glass bells and wild foliage evoked an enchanted forest emerging from between the pages of a forgotten tale.

The raised, modern, sculptural floral arrangements mixed peonies, carnations, and baby's breath, suspended atop twisted branches like art installations.

The round tables were set with powdery elegance:

Ivory tablecloths, chiseled crockery, crystal-clear stemmed glasses, pearly chargers and calligraphed menus.
Each napkin was tied with a ribbon adorned with a wax seal, a refined nod to the era of love letters.

Golden oriental lanterns and slender candlesticks accompanied a soft, subdued light, enhancing the monumental architecture.

The dinner took place under the high vaults of the nave, bathed in stained-glass windows that filtered in a natural light of rare poetry. The bride and groom's first dance took on the air of an imperial ball.

This wedding at the Prémontrés Abbey was an ode to classic beauty, reinvented with audacity and sensitivity.

A staging conceived as an immersion in a novel, where every detail told a story.
